Smollett played as a lead in The Great Debaters with Forest Whitaker and Denzel Washington. Denzel also directed the drama. Jurnee has also been awarded the NAACP Image Award, which is presented to the most outstanding actor in a motion film. Tyler Perry's Temptation was her most significant box office hit, outside Perry's Madea brand. The other films she has appeared in are One Last Thing, a full-length independent film, which starred Wendell Pierce. Hands Of Stone was a co-production with Robert DeNiro & Edgar Ramirez.
